Andrea Chappell, founder of Acme Atelier, is a visionary kilt maker who combines her design background with a passion for traditional craft. After studying at Central St Martins and the Royal College of Art, she received formal training in the handstitched method of kiltmaking. She founded Acme Atelier to promote sustainable means of making new kilts using deadstock, vintage and repurposed textiles. Every kilt from Acme Atelier is made entirely by hand, with Andrea's attention to detail unmatched. Her dedication to the art of kiltmaking is inspiring, and her work is a testament to her commitment to keeping this heritage craft alive.
